MI vs DC IPL 2024 Probable 11: No ground is safe, Surya is back!

It’s a clash of table laggards as Mumbai Indians take on Delhi Capitals in Mumbai on Sunday. First of the double-header, the match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM IST. This the 20th match of the current season of the IPL and the match will be played at Mumbai’s fortress of Wankhede.

Perennially plagued by slow starts to their seasons, Mumbai Indians have gone no better this time too. They have lost all their opening three matches and are the only side to have not opened their account so far.

Mumbai Indians’ batting problems is likely to find an answer with the likely return of their talismanic star Suryakumar Yadav. SKY, as he is popularly known, was out due to an injury and joined the side only a couple of days back. He batted for almost two hours at the nets on Saturday and is most likely to start in the game against Delhi Capitals. Welcoming his homecoming MI posted on social media, “No corner on the ground and no stand is safe, Surya Dada is back!”

Surya will likely replace Drewald Brevis who was out for nought in the last game. MI may not change their bowling combination. Even though Akash Madhwal has been exceptional, Kwena Maphaka has conceded in excess of 10 runs and he may be the only other change in Mumbai’s mind.

Delhi Capitals are doing only slightly better than MI. they have lost 3 of their 4 matches with their only win being against CSK. DC side received a massive100 runs drubbing at the hands of KKR in their last match.

KKR scored 272 in that match and Delhi would like to improve their bowling by a notch or two. DC side has a decent pace attack in Khaleel, Nortje and Ishant Sharma – they just need to wisely use the conditions at the Wankhede.
