Following their match against Punjab Kings on Thursday, Mumbai Indians duo Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee ascended the Purple Cap standings.
Bumrah, who claimed three wickets, surpassed Yuzvendra Chahal to claim the top position on the charts, while Coetzee's double strikes propelled him into third place.
Additionally, Kagiso Rabada entered the Top 5 with his single wicket against MI, while Delhi Capitals' Khaleel Ahmed maintained his position at fourth.

In the 2023 season, Mohammed Shami of Gujarat Titans clinched the Purple Cap with 28 wickets in 17 matches. His teammate, Mohit Sharma, closely followed with 27 scalps in 14 matches.
