The ballots are tabulated by Deloitte.
There are special nominating committees for the Crafts categories as well and they comprise of voting members from all of The Academy’s Chapter cities who are actively involved in the craft that they are judging.
Final voting:
After the nominations have been determined, Academy members vote in up to ten categories across three genres plus the four categories of the General Field. Again, to ensure the quality, members are directed to vote for winners in those categories in which they nominated them.
Results:
The results are tabulated by Deloitte and Touche LLP. The winners are announced at the Grammy Awards premiere and telecast ceremonies. Ties are possible in which case the two [or more] nominees who tie are considered winners. Winners receive a Grammy Award and all nominees receive a nominee medallion and a certificate.
