The iconic house featured in the 1990 film Home Alone is now is up for sale for $5.25 million, CNBC reported. The redbrick Georgian home in the Chicago suburbs was built in 1921 and is 9,126 square feet. It has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, four fireplaces, a gym, a private movie theater room, and an indoor sports court, the Coldwell Banker Realty’s Dawn McKenna Group listed.
In Home Alone, 8-year-old Kevin McCallister, played by Macauley Culkin, is accidentally left behind when his large family travels to France for Christmas. He ends up defending his house against two burglars, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. The film shoot lasted nearly five-and-a-half months, and took place both inside and outside the home and the film grossed more than $500 million worldwide.
The house was last sold in 2012 for $1.585 million, according to The Wall Street Journal.

It was fully renovated and expanded in 2018, and while most of it looks completely different than when it was featured in Home Alone movie, the current owners have kept some of the iconic features unchanged such as the front door and the "unforgettable entry staircase" where Culkin’s character Kevin goes sledding.

“That was in the movie and it’s classic,” the owners of the house told The Wall Street Journal. “We didn’t want to take that out or touch it in any way.”
The listing also states that the formal living and dining room spaces, “all remain largely unchanged in form and structure.”
The sale will also include a Lego replica of the house and a large Kevin Lego figure that Lego gifted to the current owners, the publication reported.
