A day after a US-based influencer and author claimed she gave birth to Elon Musk's thirteenth baby five months ago, the world's richest person responded to a post on X that suggested that 26-year-old Ashley St. Clair plotted for about five years to have his child, the New York Post reported.
“Ashley & Elon have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time,” Brian Glicklich, St. Clair's representative, wrote on X. “It is disappointing that a tabloid reporter, who repeatedly ambushed Ashely and her family, made it impossible to complete that process confidentially. We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledged his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share.”
Meanwhile, Musk reacted to a post that claimed “Ashley St. Clair plotted for HALF A DECADE to ensnare Elon Musk” and wrote "Whoa." It led to St. Clair slamming the tech billionaire for responding publicly to “smears.”

“Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded. When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?” she wrote.
St. Clair added that she was forced to come forward with the news of the baby after being hounded by the “tabloid media.”
“I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” she wrote, asking the media honour the child’s privacy and refrain from “invasive reporting.”
Musk, who is worth $394 billion as per Forbes, has 12 other children with three women. He has five children--Vivian and Griffin and then triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian--with his first wife Justine Wilson. He shares three kids with Canadian pop star Grimes, two among them are a daughter, Exa Dark Siderael, and a son, Techno Mechanicus.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO also had twins, Strider and Azure, with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.
Advocate for booming birth rate
Musk has been a vocal advocate for a booming birthrate and has often said that a "collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces".
He has also donated $10 million to a fertility and population research project, Bloomberg reported. Earlier this month he lauded Japan's efforts to increase their birth rate and had in 2002 voiced concern over China's declining population.
The Tesla CEO had previously said that the narrative that more people are choosing not to have kids because it is harmful to the environment is "total nonsense". He had also shared a report on the decline in the fertility rate in the US and said, "US birth rate has been below minimum sustainable levels for 50 years."
