Universal Pictures’ The Devil Wears Prada 2 teaser was just unveiled, providing the first glimpse at Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs back in their fashionable best.
The teaser also mentioned that Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci are returning to the highly anticipated sequel.
Besides this, Kenneth Branagh has joined the cast and will portray the husband of Meryl Streep’s character, Miranda Priestly, an intense fashion magazine editor.
The reports have suggested that Simone Ashley has also joined the sequel to play a key role. Additionally, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet are also a part of the sequel.
Deadline previously reported that Rachel Bloom and Patrick Brammall have joined the sequel. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will also reprise their roles from the original. Lady Gaga is also rumoured to be joining the film.
The original film's screenwriter, Aline Bros. McKenna, has returned to pen the sequel's screenplay.
What will The Devil Wears Prada 2 be about?
The Devil Wears Prada 2, a follow-up to the popular 2006 movie, will revolve around Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of Runway, as she tries to manage her career in a world where print journalism is dying. Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), Miranda's former junior assistant who is now a high-ranking executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestley sorely needs, soon confronts her.
When will The Devil Wears Prada 2 release?
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to hit the theatres on May 1, 2026. The film is currently in production. Disney announced at the end of June 2025 that production had begun with Anne Hathaway, later sharing a first look at her return to the character of Andy Sachs on July 21.
