Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway have reunited for the highly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2, and the makers have just doubled the excitement of the fans by releasing the first teaser of the sequel.
The official social media handles of Disney shared the teaser with the caption, “A sequel? For spring? Groundbreaking. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci return in The Devil Wears Prada 2, in theaters May 1, 2026. Watch the teaser trailer now.”
The 52-second clip teaser trailer starts with Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly walking in the hallway of the runway in the iconic red stilettos, giving a glimpse into her office. She enters the elevator with her former assistant, Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, who joins her just in time.
“Took you long enough,” Miranda growls as Andy smirks and slips on black sunglasses.
Disney continues teasing the upcoming sequel with an official poster featuring the red heels, accompanied by the caption that reads, “Took you long enough. The Devil Wears Prada 2, starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, in theaters May 1, 2026.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2, a follow-up to the popular 2006 movie, will revolve around Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of Runway, as she tries to manage her career in a world where print journalism is dying. Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), Miranda's former junior assistant who is now a high-ranking executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestley sorely needs, soon confronts her.

Meanwhile, the original Devil Wears Prada centres on Andrea Sachs, a recent college graduate who is keen to land a journalism position. Andy soon accepts a job as Priestley's junior assistant at Runway Magazine, where she must decide between pursuing her ideal career and losing her personal relationships. The Devil Wears Prada earned $326 million at the global box office and was a critical and commercial success.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to hit the theatres on May 1, 2026.
