In a podcast conversation, Errol Musk, father of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, accused his billionaire son of being an absentee father, claiming he neglected his children and left them in the care of nannies.
Speaking to Joshua Rubin on his podcast, Errol Musk did not hold back his criticism. When asked, “Do you think Elon is a good dad?”, he bluntly responded, “No, he hasn’t been a good dad.”
During the discussion, Errol Musk referred to the death of Elon Musk’s first child, Nevada Alexander, who tragically passed away at 10 months old due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
"The first child was too much with nannies and died in the care of a nanny," he alleged. "If Elon hears this, he’s going to shoot me or something. But anyway, that’s what I think. That’s no good."
He further criticised his son’s approach to parenting, adding: "They were too rich, too many nannies. Then he had five children with the same woman. Five sons, each one had its own nanny. You following me?"
When Rubin asked if Musk had ever truly spent time with his children, Errol Musk’s reply was a firm ‘No’.
Elon Musk, now a father of 12, has children from multiple relationships.
His first child, Nevada Alexander, was born to Canadian author Justine Wilson but died at 10 months old.
Musk and Wilson later had five more children—twins and triplets.
With singer Grimes, he had three children: X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus. His eldest son, X Æ A-Xii, is often seen accompanying him at public events.
He later fathered twins, Strider and Azure, with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, and reportedly had one more child with her.
