Amazon delivers pressure cooker 2 years after customer cancelled the order. Viral

An Amazon customer received a long-forgotten order of pressure cooker, cancelled and refunded two years ago, in a surprising delivery recently. The user, Jay, took to X to share his bemusement, posting a screenshot of the delivery notification for a Prestige Pressure Cooker, which had initially cost him Rs 1,734.

“Thank you Amazon for delivering my order after 2 years. The cook is elated after the prolonged wait, must be a very special pressure cooker!” Jay tweeted, humorously addressing the odd situation.

The screenshot of the order shows that the customer ordered the pressure cooker on October 1, 2022. Soon after he cancelled it. Now, the latest update shows the order has been delivered on August 28, 2024.

The incident didn’t go unnoticed by the X community, which erupted with witty comments about the bizarre delivery mishap. One user joked, “If ‘late commerce’ was a thing,” while another quipped, “Amazon was under a lot of Pressure. Release now. Happy cooking!” The comments continued in a similar vein, with another remarking, “You should be happy it was custom made… to the smallest details of mining the aluminium especially for your order.”

Some even joked about the cooker’s origins, suggesting that it might have been made from extraterrestrial materials. “Wow, it must be manufactured using materials extracted from an asteroid by NASA,” read one such comment.

Jay’s tweet has over 1.24 lakh views and hundreds of comments and reactions.
