An Air India passenger flying from New York to Delhi slammed the airline recently after encountering multiple issues such as a malfunctioning sliding table and a damaged headphone jack.

The passenger shared a video on Instagram in which he showed the damaged headphone jacks, seats with scratches on them and sliding tables. The passenger also said that food served on the flight was of poor quality.

"My Air India flight from NY to Delhi was a disaster!" the passenger wrote in the caption of the video.

The passenger's video went viral and saw a lot of user comments, many of whom recalled their own experience of flying with Air India.

"Travelled once on Air India, and they did not serve any food for 5 hours on an 8-hour flight from Sydney to Singapore. Why? They didn't have enough food for everyone on the flight. No water either. Horror story!" one user wrote.

"When I traveled last year, two bathrooms were not working and same condition as you described. Never again, Air India," a second user wrote.

"Never again! Flew once with @airindia, worse service and quality of any airline! Stewardess kept serving the guy in front of my drinks, and he peed in his seat with piss streaming down everywhere! Ugh!" a third user wrote.

This is not the first instance where an Air India passenger has spoken of a difficult experience while flying from one location to another.

In April, a passenger flying from Delhi to Bengaluru found that she had been given a broken window seat, despite paying an extra Rs 1,000 to get the seat.
