Xiaomi recently announced its flagship Mi Mix 4 in China, which arrived as the first smartphone with a Snapdragon 888+ SoC and the first from the company to use an under-display selfie camera. However, the Mi Mix 4 wasn’t the only flagship device to be unveiled at the event. The company also revealed two flagship tablets in the form of the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro.
Mi Pad 5, Mi Pad 5 Pro Price in India
The Mi Pad 5 is priced at CNY 1,999 (Roughly Rs 22,950) for the base 6GB/128GB model, while the 6GB/256GB variant will set you back CNY 2,299 (Roughly Rs 26,400). The Mi Pad 5 Pro is priced at CNY 2,499 (Roughly Rs 28,700) for the base 6GB/128GB model.
Additionally, the Mi Pad 5 Pro is also available in a 6GB/256GB and 8GB/256GB configuration for CNY 2,799 (Roughly Rs 32,150) and CNY 3,499 (Roughly Rs 40,200), respectively. The two Mi tablets are already up for pre-order in China, but there is no word on international availability.
Mi Pad 5 Specs
The Mi Pad 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 860 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. The tablet also comes with 256GB of storage. Xiaomi’s latest tablet also features an 11-inch QHD+ (2560x1600 pixel) LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The 10-bit panel also supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, and TrueTone technology. It also offers 500 nits of peak brightness.
The Mi Pad 5 has a single 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. The Mi Pad 5 packs an 8720 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It also boasts four stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos. The Mi Pad 5 is available in Black, Dazzling White, and Dark Green colour options.
Mi Pad 5 Pro Specs
The Mi Pad 5 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. The Mi Pad 5 Pro is available in Wi-Fi and 5G versions as opposed to the Wi-Fi-only Mi Pad 5 model. The Mi Pad 5 Pro features the same display as its vanilla counterpart. The Mi Pad 5 Pro has a slightly smaller 8,600 mAh battery but doubles the charging support to 67W.
The Mi Pad 5 Pro opts for the same 13 MP main camera but also gets a 5 MP depth sensor. However, the 5G version of the Mi Pad 5 Pro replaces the 13 MP main camera with a 50 MP sensor. The 8 MP selfie camera is the same on both devices. It also comes with four Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers.
Both the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro use MIUI for Pad operating system, a version of MIUI tailored for tablets. MIUI For Pad also supports custom input methods, split screens, small windows, parallel windows, and more. Xiaomi also introduced a stylus pen and keyboard-style double-sided protective case alongside the two tablets.
