Festivals like Navratri give you a beautiful canvas to explore that balance of beauty and emotion.”

Dr Kochhar shares a day-by-day Navratri makeup guide: 

Day 1: Glow with white

Start the festival with purity and poise. A dewy base sets the tone, enhanced with a soft highlighter on your cheekbones and inner eye corners. Keep it elegant with fluttery lashes and peachy lips, think angelic, light, and luminous.

Day 2: Bold and beautiful red

Channel strength and passion with the ultimate power colour. Go for a bold red lip, classic and timeless. Pair it with smoky eyes or sharp winged liner. Dr Kochhar suggests, “Keep the skin matte and clean—let the red make the statement.”

Day 3: Make your eyes go blue

Royal blue is dramatic and daring. Use blue eyeliner, navy kohl, or metallic eyeshadow to play up the eyes. To avoid clashing, keep your lips neutral, soft pink or beige tones work best here.

Day 4: Sunshine glow, yellow

Radiate joy with coral blush, golden shimmer, and peachy lips. A golden highlighter can tie it all together for a warm, uplifting glow that mirrors the energy of the colour.

Experiment with emerald, forest, or olive green shadows, lightly blended for a soft yet striking look. Keep lips subtle, nude or soft rose is perfect to keep it balanced.

Day 8: Artistic flair, shades of green
