Instagram has come a long way since its launch as an iOS-only, photo sharing and editing app. While for many users Instagram is about sharing their experiences through photos, for others, it's about making art through their phones. It’s become so popular that a London art gallery had an exhibit called "My World Shared", which featured the work of 30 photographers who belonged to a London group of Instagrammers. That theme meant to cover both facets of Instagram's services - sharing experiences through photos as well as making photos pretty. Now, this popular app is all set to grow with the launch of a new update. Instagram has started accepting likes and comments on its Web user interface. According to a report by The Next Web, this move, which the company calls “the new Photo Page”, is a sign that Instagram is expanding beyond the phone and onto the Web.“However, this update still does not unify all of your Instagram photos together. There is no discovery or profile element yet. From the looks of it, Instagram is set on expanding its reach, but at a snail’s pace,” the report stated. The report revealed that the new look features larger images, taking advantage of the growing quality of today’s camera phones. As for features, Instagram allows you to comment, like and delete comments on the web user interface, as well as follow and unfollow other users.Click here for full story
