MG Motor India launched the new Hector and Hector Plus at the Auto Expo 2023 at a starting price of Rs 14.72 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It also unveiled two electric vehicles —the MG4, a pure-electric hatchback and the MG EHS, a plug-in hybrid SUV
MG has announced that the base price of the Hector and Hector Plus will be Rs 14.72 lakh and Rs 17.49 lakh, respectively.
We would day drive most of the cars in this league before making a buying decision, but by itself, the MG Astor is an SUV that makes a good case for itself.
"As a new entrant in the Indian market, the robust sales momentum of our first offering, the Hector, has been very encouraging. We are working closely with our global and local suppliers to increase the production of the Hector in 2020 to support the booking backlog," said Rakesh Sidana, director for sales, MG Motor India.
Recent spy shots confirm that the new Hector may get a different set of tail lamps, along with a revised rear bumper.
While it clinched the title of being India's first connected SUV, it will face fierce competition in its segment. Among its rivals are the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Creta.
The Hector will be India’s first connected SUV, beating the upcoming Hyundai Venue by a few days.
MG Motors India posted a video on their official Youtube channel which highlights the features of the vehicle distinctly.
Armed with a tailor-made operating system for the car, it will feature an eSIM to be able to connect to the internet.
The first car in the lineup is going to be the MG Hector, which has its share of work cut out already.
With their plant set up in Halol, Gujarat; MG Motors are closing in on their launch date soon.
