Apple opened its second store in India's national capital today, on April 20 in Select City Walk, Saket. The iconic tech giant had launched its first store in Mumbai's BKC area on April 18.

Spread over an area of 8,400 square feet in carpet area, the Delhi store gets beaten down by the one in Mumbai, which is spread over a sprawling area of 20,000 square feet of retail space. The Mumbai store occupies three levels whereas the Delhi store is located on the first floor of the mall.

The company is paying a rental amount of s 40 lakh per month for its retail store in the national capital, as per the lease agreement documents that were reviewed by Moneycontrol.

Arun Padmanabhan, deputy news editor (Startups and NE) of Moneycontrol visited the grand opening of the Apple store in the National Capital. "The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and chants filling the air. As I approached the front of the line, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Tim Cook himself waiting to welcome me. He greeted me with a smile and thanked me for making it for the launch," he says.
