Of all the stories that come out of Delhi's busy streets, few are as powerful as Beauty Jha's. This is the story of a girl who went from helping her family sell momos to clearing one of India's toughest exams, NEET UG.
But the real story isn't just the score. It's the struggle, love and hard work that got her there. Beauty's childhood was simple and tough. Her family moved from a small village in Bihar to Delhi when she was just six. Her father worked tirelessly as a factory worker, a gardener and even selling chana and momos on the street so that his children could get an education. He always said, "Even if I have to sell chana, I will educate you." That promise became Beauty's motivation.

She saw her parents struggle every day. She knew how hard life was. But instead of feeling discouraged, it made her more determined. She wanted to change their lives through education.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, things got even harder. Her father lost his job. To help out, Beauty started teaching younger kids in her neighborhood. She earned Rs. 1100 from her first classes and spent it on juice for her grandmother and food for her family. She was still in school herself.
During class 11, life became even more challenging. After school, instead of studying, Beauty helped her mother make momos. They kneaded the dough, prepared the filling and shaped hundreds of momos to sell. With so little time to study, her grades started falling. She began to doubt herself. Maybe becoming a doctor was just a dream too big for someone like her.
But she never let that dream die completely. She wanted to become a doctor not just for herself, but to help her family and serve others. "There's nothing like the joy of making someone else happy," she says.
Things changed in class 12. She discovered online classes. At first, she wasn't sure if studying online really helped. But it did. She could learn at her own pace, replay lessons and make the most of whatever time she had. She says online learning worked even better for her than offline classes.
What kept her going was her "why". She knew why she was studying for her family, for a better future, to make her parents proud. That belief pushed her through tired days and long nights.
She achieved an All India Rank of 4809 in NEET 2023. Her success is a reminder that some of the brightest futures are built from the toughest pasts. And sometimes, the strongest dreams come from the humblest beginnings.
