The external affairs ministry showcased India's success in hosting the G20 Summit in 2023 and its achievements as the president of powerful grouping at the 75th Republic Day parade on January 26, 2024.
The MEA's tableau highlighted India's leadership in addressing global issues in an ambitious, decisive, inclusive, and action-oriented manner. It also depicted the successful completion of India's G20 presidency last year and its achievements.

“Great to see the MEA tableau of G20 at the #RepublicDay Parade. What a year it was!” External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wrote on X, along with a video of the MEA tableau.
The front part of the float featured the Nalanda Maha Vihara with the G20 Logo on top, while the trailer flaunted the major achievements based on presidency priorities. The tableau also showcased the Indian presidency's decision to make the African Union a full member by joining hands in the 'Namaste mudra'. One hand depicted the Indian flag, and the other depicted the African Union flag.
The tableau also depicted women-led developments in the world, along with India's success in digital public infrastructure and green development with millet as a super-food, depicted with the 'Queen of Millets'. The Bharat Mandapam, where the G20 presidency culminated with the leaders' summit, was also showcased. The summit unanimously adopted the New Delhi Declaration of the Group of 20 nations.
