External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday held a conversation with Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the ongoing regional developments amid ongoing tensions.
In a social media post on X, Jaishankar said that Araghchi shared Iran's perspective about the escalating tensions in Middle East between Iran and Israel.
During the conversation, Jaishankar also expressed gratitude for Tehran’s assistance in facilitating the safe evacuation of Indian nationals.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, India has evacuated more than 4,400 Indian nationals from Iran and Israel so far in 19 special flights under Operation Sindhu launched on June 18 to bring home its citizens amid the ongoing conflict between the two countries.
