‘Dubai is the only place where Indians follow law’, says Andrew Tate. Netizens recall his criminal cases

The incident comes hours after the British-American 'influencer' faced fresh criticism for his racist comments on the video of an Indian woman shopping. 'I have all flavours of children from 11 women except Indian. Chinese Tate does kung fu, Russian Tate never cries... Don’t need curry Tate,' he said.

Self-proclaimed internet personality Andrew Tate has sparked outrage online after making a series of racist remarks aimed at Indians, drawing severe criticism across social media platforms. The controversy erupted after Tate, a self-described misogynist with more than 11 million followers on X, claimed that Indians do not respect the law except in Dubai.

His viral post read:

"You’re going to live amongst Indians if you live in Canada.

You’re going to live amongst Indians if you live in USA.

You’re going to live amongst Indians if you live in England.

You’re going to live amongst Indians if you live in Dubai.

But Dubai is the only place they respect the law."

Social media backlash

The post, which garnered nearly six million views, was widely condemned as racist and factually misleading. Users on X called out Tate’s hypocrisy, pointing to his own legal troubles across multiple countries.

One user wrote: "You’re being criminally investigated in the US. You’re being criminally investigated in the UK. You’re being criminally investigated in Romania. But Dubai is the only place that will house a scumbag like you."

Others highlighted the contributions of Indians globally.

"Who are the most successful engineers, doctors, CEOs, founders and developers in Canada? Indians.

Who are the most successful engineers, doctors, CEOs, founders and developers in USA? Indians.

Who are the most successful engineers, doctors, CEOs, founders and developers in UK? Indians.

Who are the successful engineers, doctors, CEOs, founders and developers in Dubai? Indians!"

A third user added: "Indians are the most law-abiding group in all these countries, even better than natives. Meanwhile, the origin country of Andrew Tate tops crime lists everywhere."

Criminal charges against Andrew Tate in different countries

Earlier this year, Tate and his brother Tristan faced 21 charges, including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking, in the UK. They were also facing a number of domestic criminal matters in Romania, BBC reported.

The Tate brothers were first arrested in Romania in December 2022. Andrew Tate was accused of rape and human trafficking while Tristan was suspected of human trafficking. They had denied the charges and spent several months under house arrest.

In August 2024, they were accused of having sex with a minor and trafficking underage persons, all of which they deny.

In March 2024, the pair was detained in Bucharest after the Bedfordshire Police said it had obtained an arrest warrant in relation to allegations of rape and trafficking.

Second wave of outrage over comment on Indian women

The incident comes hours after the British-American "influencer" faced fresh criticism after responding to a video of an Indian woman shopping, which had already been captioned with a derogatory stereotype. Tate replied: "Agreed. I have all flavours of children from 11 women except Indian. Chinese Tate does kung fu, Russian Tate never cries, Black Tate has best head movement. Don’t need curry Tate."

The remark was slammed as misogynistic and racist. One user wrote: "The only thing you’ve proved with that tweet is that your children deserve a better father, no matter what country they’re from."

Another added, "Imagine calling someone ugly while filming strangers without consent. Peak insecurity."

Others pointed to Indian women’s global achievements: "Indian women are winning Miss Universe and Miss World. What exactly is Tate winning?"
