Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal took a swipe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over its Delhi election manifesto which was launched earlier today.
He wondered why should Delhi vote for the saffron party when it is looking at continuing the AAP's welfare schemes if it wins the elections scheduled for February 5.
BJP president JP Nadda, who released the three-part manifesto (Sankalp Patra) for the Delhi elections, assured that all existing public welfare schemes in Delhi will continue if the BJP is voted to power.
"BJP has openly accepted that Kejriwal is running many welfare schemes in Delhi which are benefiting the families of the party members too. We don't know how to do politics, we know how to work hard. We do such work that even our opponents end up praising it," he said in a post on X.

"BJP does not have a Sankalp Patra but a 'Kejriwal Patra' that they will continue all the schemes of Kejriwal in Delhi. BJP says - "Vote for BJP to do all the work that Kejriwal does," he added.
He added that the BJP has 'copied' the AAP and announced several 'revris' in its manifesto but Prime Minister Narendra Modi won't approve of the 'freebies' promised by his party.
"The BJP has repeatedly said that Kejriwal gives away free handouts, but today the BJP's national president announced that they too will provide free handouts to the people of Delhi," Kejriwal said.
"I want to tell them that they should acknowledge that PM Modi was wrong when he said the things that he did about us. They should also accept free handouts are not wrong, they are a gift from God and good for the country. The Prime Minister should say I was right in providing free handouts," the former Delhi CM added.
Nadda, addressing a press conference, announced the BJP will give LPG cylinders at Rs 500 to women from poor sections and Rs 2,500 monthly aid for women. In addition, the party promised Rs 2,500 pension for senior citizens between the age of 60-70 and Rs 3,000 for those older than 70.
