The Core Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met at party chief JP Nadda's residence on Friday amid seat-sharing tussle ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
The meeting, attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, senior BJP leaders and other NDA leaders from Bihar, including Jitan Ram Manjhi, primarily focused on finalizing the party’s electoral strategy, seat-sharing arrangements, and candidate selection.
the BJP’s Bihar election committee has already submitted panels of potential candidates to the central leadership, sources were quoted as saying by The Statesman.
The party is likely to release its first list of candidates by October 13.
Bihar elections will be held be held in two phases. First phase of voting will take place on November 6 and the second phase on November 11. The counting of votes will be done on November 14.
