Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on May 22 address a poll rally in Delhi’s Dwarka suburb and the Delhi traffic police has advised commuters to use public transport wherever possible and shared a list of roads to be avoided.
The event is to begin at Dwarka’s Sector 14 DDA Park at about 6 pm, the advisory said.
“VVIP will visit DDA Park, Sector-14, Opposite Vegas Mall Dwarka, New Delhi on 22.05.2024 at 1800 hrs. to address a rally being organized by a political party,” the Delhi traffic police said in a release. “Large number of people are expected to attend this rally which may affect the traffic on surrounding roads.”

List of roads to be avoided:
The advisory asked Dwarka commuters to use public transport and avoiding or bypass the designated routes if possible.
It also said travellers heading towards ISBT, train stations or the airport should plan their keeping in mind the diversions.
Commuters have been asked to follow Delhi Traffic Police on social media and on their official website for the latest updates.
All seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi will go to polls in the sixth round of the on May 25. In the West Delhi constituency, of which Dwarka is a part, Kamaljeet Sherawat of the BJP is up against Mahabal Mishra of the Aam Aadmi Party.
