Milind Soman continues to surprise fans with his fitness at 59. He recently took to Instagram flaunting his enviable physique, which his wife revealed was not built in the gym. The photos will surprise you as much as they did his fans, who called him an “inspiration.”

Milind Soman, 59, can give anyone a run for their money with his fitness. He proved this by sharing a new album on Instagram featuring a photo of himself flaunting his abs like nobody’s business. Much to everyone’s surprise, his wife Ankita Konwar revealed those muscles were not built in the gym.

In the album Milind posted, he can be seen bare-bodied, sporting just his swimming shorts. His washboard abs are hard to miss, and it is, in fact, his well-defined physique that takes you by surprise. Not just this, the actor also shared pictures of himself running, cycling, and swimming, which pretty much reveal his secret to fitness.

What was even more surprising was Ankita’s revelation in the comments. She wrote, “And the very fact that not a single one of those muscles was made in a gym… world is your playground.” Many followers praised him for his commitment to fitness and called him an “inspiration.”

A fan wrote, “Happy to see our Captain Vyom still being the same!” Another commented, “The temperature just increased in the UAE.” A user added, “A big ambassador for the ‘Age is just a number’ brigade.” Several others dropped fire and heart emojis for the lit look.

Talking about outdoor activities that have helped Milind achieve this enviable physique, here’s a look at how cardio exercises help you stay fit:

Swimming

Studies show it to be an effective cardio exercise that not only helps burn calories, but also protects your heart health. It improves cholesterol levels, reduces blood pressure, and lowers risk of heart disease. In addition, it strengthens muscles as well.

Cycling

Cycling helps burn more calories by working on large body muscles like the glutes and quadriceps. It gets your heart pumping even at a slow pace and builds stamina, though its effectiveness depends on the intensity and the duration.

Running

Running effectively burns calories, aiding weight loss. When done consistently, it also helps with toning and strengthening lower body muscles, while increasing muscle mass and metabolic rate.

Besides these, Milind often posts videos of himself skipping and doing bodyweight exercises like push-ups and pull-ups. He certainly leads the way in showing that there are multiple ways to build strength and stay fit outside the gym.
