Soha Ali Khan indeed shares a close bond with her family, especially with her elder brother Saif Ali Khan, and she has spoken about their bond in several interviews over the years.
Recently she revealed how their relationship evolved with time as they spent a large part of their lives separately due to their individual aspects of life.
In conversation with Mashable India, Soha spoke about the huge age gap of 9 years between her and Saif. their overseas education kept them apart as kids. It was only when both of them started living in Mumbai at the same time that the bond grew manifold.
“I and Bhai (brother; Saif) are nine years apart, which is a lot. There wasn’t much of an overlap because when I was born, he went abroad for studies. When he came back, he started working in films, and I went to study in Oxford. After coming to Mumbai is when both of us actually started spending time together and became much closer," stated the actress.
While talking about her childhood, Soha mentioned that Saif had always been something of a mystery to her. She explained that he studied at Winchester and would only return home during the holidays, living life entirely on his own terms.
Soha also revealed that her brother was a 'rebel' during his younger days.
Recalling her childhood memories of him, she stated, "He was sort of a rebel as a child, and my parents used to take his example and tell us what not to do. The room that I had growing up actually was his room, but when he came over, I wasn’t allowed to sleep there, because he would often jump out the window at night and come back at unusual hours."
She shared that he had done many things, and her parents wouldn’t allow her to sleep in that room because they felt she already resembled him and didn’t want her to end up becoming like him.
"I and my sister used to be very excited for him to come home, because he used to change the energy of the house. You never knew in what state he would turn up; sometimes he would have red hair, blonde hair, or long hair," said Soha.
On the work front, Soha Ali Khan was last seen Chhorii 2 as the antagonist. Released in April 2025, the film also starred Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role and was directed by Vishal Furia.
