A simple message from a delivery partner with hearing and speech impairments struck a deep chord on social media after a customer shared their exchange. The post, made by a user identified as Stuti, included a screenshot with the caption: “Things men do for their family!”

The screenshot contained a system note alerting her that the delivery worker was both deaf and mute, asking customers to communicate with him using the app’s messaging feature. His own message read: “Hello. I am deaf. I can’t listen and mute. I will message you, see please.”

The note, expressing his effort to work around his condition, resonated strongly with online audiences. The post quickly gathered close to nine lakh views, with many users describing it as humbling and emotional.

One response read: “This really touched my heart. People like him show us what true courage looks like.” Another user commented: “Respect for this man. His dedication towards his work and family is inspiring.”

Others used the moment to highlight the value of all forms of work. “This is a reminder that dignity of labour should always be valued,” wrote one commenter.

A number of replies emphasised empathy and recognition. One user posted: “I felt emotional reading this. Such people deserve more support from society.” Another added: “Salute to his spirit. He is a real hero.”

Several users suggested the platform itself should acknowledge the worker. “I hope the platform recognises him and provides more assistance,” one reply stated. Another wrote: “This shows why empathy matters. Imagine the effort he makes every single day.”

Others reflected on their own reactions. “We often complain about small inconveniences, but here is someone showing us what perseverance really means,” one individual noted.
