Veteran actor Dharmendra, who will soon celebrate his 90th birthday, has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for what his team described as a routine medical check-up. The news of his hospitalisation quickly spread across social media, sparking concern among fans and well-wishers who flooded timelines with prayers and get-well messages.

However, sources close to the Deol family have clarified that there is absolutely no reason to worry. Speaking to India Today, a representative from Dharmendra’s team said, “He undergoes a series of tests periodically given his age, and is in the hospital for the same. Someone may have spotted him and created a news piece. He is absolutely fine and there’s nothing to be worried about.”

The actor’s hospital visits, the team added, are simply part of his long-standing health routine. “He is in great spirits and just went for his scheduled tests,” the source explained, reassuring fans that the beloved star remains “hale and hearty.”

Dharmendra’s sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, are both keeping a close eye on their father’s health while continuing with their respective film shoots. The brothers, known for their close-knit bond with their father, have reportedly been in constant touch with the medical team to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Just a few weeks ago, the legendary Sholay and Chupke Chupke actor had undergone a similar check-up, prompting similar rumours at the time. His team had reiterated then, as now, that such visits are simply precautionary measures and nothing out of the ordinary for someone of his age.

On the work front, the veteran actor is set to appear in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia. Even as he nears nine decades of life, Dharmendra’s passion for cinema and his enduring spirit remain as strong as ever.
