Aarti Drugs Q4 net falls 14% to Rs 19 crore

    Aarti Drugs reported a 14.07 percent dip in its standalone net profit to Rs 18.86 crore for the quarter ended March 31.

    The company had a net profit of Rs 21.95 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal, Aarti Drugs said in a filing to BSE.

    Total income from operations stood at Rs 278.37 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 283.04 crore for the same period year ago.

    For the full fiscal year, the company's standalone profit rose to Rs 77.60 crore from Rs 61.71 crore year ago.

    Panasonic aims to sell 1 lakh rugged mobility devices by '18 * Technology major Panasonic today said it aims to sell one lakh units cumulatively of its rugged devices -- Toughbook and Toughpad - in India by 2018.

    The company sold about 7,000 units of such devices to enterprise customers across verticals like government, defence and logistics among others.

    "Right now, the numbers may seem small, but with the focus that the government has, on expanding the infrastructure in the country, we see a lot of demand for our devices that can work in the harsh environment that these sites often have," Panasonic Corporation Managing Officer Mobile Business Division Director Hide Harada told reporters here.

    Panasonic today launched three new devices priced in the range of Rs 1.09 lakh to Rs 1.39 lakh.

    Crown-it raises USD 5.5 mn from Accel Partners, Helion Venture * Gurgaon-based internet firm Crown-itsaid it has raised USD 5.5 million (about Rs 35.1 crore) from Accel Partners and Helion Venture Partners.

    Crown-it, a marketplace for local businesses, charges merchants a marketing fee for sales driven at the outlets and shares part of the fee with consumers as cashback.

    The app-only firm, which launched operations in August last year, is targeting segments like food and beverages, health, wellness and beauty. It claims to have a userbase of 1.5 lakh on Android and iPhone and is operational in Delhi-NCR.

    It plans to grow to 20 million users in three years across 25 cities in India.
