Ride-hailing firm Ola has entered the parcel delivery service segment on October 6 through the launch of 'Ola Parcel', and will operate using Ola electric scooters in Bengaluru.
"Launching Ola Parcel today in Bengaluru! Start of an all-electric 2W logistics ecosystem for India," wrote Bhavish Aggarwal, co-founder and CEO of Ola on X (formerly Twitter).

The firm will be charging Rs 25 for 5km, Rs 50 for 10km, Rs 75 for 15 km and Rs 100 for 20km.
The full-scale rollout of the service will follow in Bengaluru and will be scaled in cities across the country in the next few months, Ola said in a media statement.
"You can use tonight onwards. Expanding across India very soon," Aggarwal wrote.
The intra-city parcel delivery space is currently dominated by players like Porter, Swiggy Genie, Uber and Dunzo.
Last year, Ola's close rival Uber also launched its parcel delivery service offering through 'Uber Connect'. Uber Connect was introduced in four cities Kolkata, Guwahati, Jaipur and Gurgaon, however, it is now available across India.
Existing players are also transitioning towards EVs. In fact, Porter told Moneycontrol in an earlier interaction that it has onboarded around 3,500 EVs across cities, largely Delhi and Bangalore and has an EV presence in other large metros as well.
Uber also got into a partnership with Zypp Electric for 10,000 EV two-wheelers in Delhi for its ride-hailing services. The company also announced a partnership with SIDBI to unlock INR 1,000 crore in EV financing.
Ola has been expanding its business segments.
In September Ola joined the government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to provide food delivery services.
In 2022 it was planning to integrate its cloud kitchen business with 10-minute grocery delivery.
Ola Cabs also announced restarting its bike taxi services and will only ply Ola Electric's S1 scooters in Bengaluru.
