From the perspective of losing body weight, bad fruits typically refer to those containing too much natural sugar and calories. They are healthy fruits but contain high calories, which may lead to weight gain when taken excessively. These fruits are suggested to be used in a weight loss regime but in moderation. It is better to consume fewer high-calorie fruits and vegetables to manage the total calorie intake in the body. This method makes use of fruits in a diet that helps one lose weight and provides all the nutrients and antioxidants from fruits that are necessary for the body.
Following are six fruits that are healthy but should only be eaten occasionally if you are on a weight loss diet, as explained by Dr Radhika Awasthi, a nutritionist based in Delhi.
- Bananas: Bananas have potassium and vitamins in plenty; however, they are more calorie-dense than most fruits. The same principle applies even to these fruits because there are Weight Watchers who will be keen on carbs and calories.
- Grapes: Grapes are sweet and appealing fruits, but their small, bite-sized shape may also cause their consumers to overindulge. To savour the healthful properties of this dehydrated winter treat while limiting the total amount of calories consumed, it is necessary to serve small portions.
- Mangoes: As one of the sweetest tropical fruits, mango comes with various kinds of vitamins and minerals; however, this comes from natural sugars in them. Contain that they allow you to love their taste without going beyond the limits of caloric value.
- Cherries: Cherries contain a lot of antioxidants, which is a plus, but then their sugar content beats all. Use them sensibly and enjoy all the nutritional qualities that they possess without the extra sugar calories. You want to have your cake and eat it too. Also, outstretch those thumbs towards eating healthy cherries.

While these fruits are also healthy and can be eaten in moderation while
trying to lose weight, it is still very important to control the serving sizes. Instead, ensure you include different varieties of fruits and vegetables, healthy proteins, and complex carbohydrates to maintain a healthy diet and control your weight.
