The epic-scale film has been creating a lot of buzz because of its grand narrative and breathtaking presentation.

Fans can anticipate a preview of the film's remarkable scope and complex world-building, which have been painstakingly developed over the years, even though the trailer's content is still unknown.

Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Prabhas, Mohanlal, Arpit Ranka, and several other well-known South Indian actors are among the cast members of Kannappa, which was directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. It is reported that Prabhas and Mohanlal did not receive payment for their work on the film, which had a budget of more than Rs 200 crore. Akshay Kumar, an actor, also charged significantly less than his usual rates.

Vishnu also extended his gratitude towards both the actors for making it possible for him to make the film. “Two people helped me greatly to make the film what it is today: Mohanlal and Prabhas. Mohanlal is such great superstar, he didn’t really have to do a small role in my film, but due to his love and respect for my father, he agreed to do the role in less than a minute," he said.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by M. Mohan Babu, Kannappa tells the powerful story of an atheist hunter who transforms into a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva, ultimately offering his own eyes in a profound act of faith. Set for a global theatrical release on June 27, 2025, Kannappa is already emerging as one of the most talked-about films of the year.
