The serene city of Udaipur, often called the City of Lakes, is turning into a glittering global hotspot this week.
On November 21 and 22, the royal city will host a wedding so lavish it has already caught the world’s attention — with an extraordinary guest list that includes some of the most recognisable names in business, politics, and entertainment.
A Star-Studded Affair in the Heart of Rajasthan
As per reports, authorities in Udaipur are on high alert, as among the high-profile guests expected is Donald Trump Jr., son of the US President Donald Trump.
Videos of him sightseeing at the Taj Mahal in Agra have already gone viral, signalling the beginning of a truly international celebration.
The festivities are also set to feature powerhouse performances by global icons Jennifer Lopez and Justin Bieber, who are reportedly flying in to perform for the guests.
So who’s hosting the wedding that’s got the world’s attention?
Raju Mantena, the Chairman and CEO of Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, a prominent pharmaceutical company with headquarters in the United States, is hosting the opulent event. Mantena has established a stellar reputation in the healthcare sector as the founder of ICORE Healthcare, International Oncology Network (ION), and OncoScripts.
His company, Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, has research and development facilities spread across the US, Switzerland, and India.
A graduate in clinical pharmacy from the University of Maryland, Mantena also holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU).
His daughter, Netra Mantena, will tie the knot with Vamsi Gadiraju in a two-day celebration dubbed “The Biggest Wedding of the Year”. Mumbai’s Wizcraft Weddings & Social Events is managing the elaborate arrangements.
Royal Venues and Unmatched Luxury
The celebrations will span Udaipur’s most breathtaking venues — from The Leela Palace and Manek Chowk to Zenana Mahal and the ethereal Jagmandir Island Palace, which floats on Lake Pichola.
Videos of opulent décor, floral arches, and shimmering light displays from these venues have already taken social media by storm.
The Guest List Everyone’s Talking About
Apart from Trump Jr., the event is expected to see Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, and top Bollywood stars such as Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit, Shahid Kapoor, and Nora Fatehi. As per a report by Free Press Journal, more than 120 celebrities from around 40 countries will be in attendance.
With such an elite crowd expected, Udaipur has ramped up security across the city. A US security advance team has already conducted inspections of all key routes and venues, while local police have set up barricades and intensified patrols around airports, hotels, and the palace grounds.
Speaking to News18 Rajasthan, Lakshyaraj Singh of the Mewar royal family shared, “I also got to know from you that such kind of people (high-profile) are going to attend a wedding here... Events like these enhance the image of Udaipur worldwide. With all Mewari traditions, the guests will be welcomed.”
The wedding promises a vibrant blend of Rajasthani tradition and international flair. Guests will experience local folk performances, grand processions, and menus inspired by royal Mewari cuisine — all against the breathtaking backdrop of Udaipur’s palaces and lakes.
