US President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., visited Agra on Thursday for a tour of the Taj Mahal. He arrived at Kheria Airport on a special aircraft before proceeding to the iconic monument. Trump Jr. is also scheduled to travel to Udaipur later this week to attend a high-profile destination wedding of an Indian-American couple.

The wedding celebrations will take place on November 21 and 22, with the main ceremony at the historic Jag Mandir Palace on Lake Pichola and other festivities at Manek Chowk within the City Palace complex. Trump Jr. will stay at The Leela Palace Udaipur during the visit. A US security team has already arrived in Udaipur to assess preparations and coordinate security measures ahead of his arrival.

This marks his first visit to the Taj Mahal, while his father and former First Lady Melania Trump had toured it in 2020. Trump Jr. is expected to be accompanied by 126 special guests from 40 countries. Local authorities have carried out a thorough clean-up along the route, removed stray animals, and strengthened security arrangements to ensure a smooth visit.

The Rajasthan administration has put Udaipur on high alert, deploying enhanced security along key routes and at the airport to safeguard VIPs. Several politicians, celebrities, and high-profile guests are expected to attend the two-day wedding, with authorities taking measures to manage crowds and maintain order.

Udaipur, known as the “City of Lakes,” has emerged as a popular destination for lavish weddings, thanks to its palaces, heritage hotels, and scenic beauty. The city has previously hosted high-profile celebrations, including those of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Hardik Pandya, Raveena Tandon, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and the pre-wedding festivities of Isha Ambani. Its royal architecture and picturesque settings make it a preferred choice for luxury weddings.

Trump Jr.’s visit underscores the continued engagement of the Trump family with India, blending personal commitments with high-profile appearances. Officials in both Agra and Udaipur are coordinating to ensure smooth transitions between events, with heightened security reflecting the prominence of the guest list and the importance of maintaining safety and order during the visits.
