After almost three months of no news, Jr NTR's highly anticipated movie Dragon is finally going back into production. Prashanth Neel directed the high-octane action drama, which has been the subject of speculation since the shoot suddenly stopped. This was especially true after NTR's noticeable weight loss sparked rumors on social media.
There were a lot of unverified reports that the project was put on hold or that NTR was unhappy with the footage they had, but the team stuck to their guns and didn't say anything to add to the rumors. Sources now say that the break wasn't because of creative differences; it was part of a plan to change the schedules.
Shooting will start up again in December in Hyderabad.
The next important schedule for Dragon will start in the first week of December in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. For this long three-week shoot, which will go on without stopping until Christmas, the team has built huge sets.
Filming will start again on January 5 after a short break for Christmas and New Year's.
Locked African Schedule
Prashanth Neel just finished a location recce in Africa, where he picked out important locations for an action-packed international schedule. In January, the unit will go to Africa to film for three more weeks. These two back-to-back schedules should cover a lot of the movie's remaining scenes.

The release might be late
Dragon was first set to come out in June 2026, but sources in the industry say that the release date may change depending on how quickly production and post-production go.
Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts worked together to make the movie, which stars Rukmini Vasanth as the main female character. People still have very high hopes for Dragon because of the combination of NTR and Prashanth Neel.
