Paul Danan, a former star of the popular TV show Hollyoaks, tragically passed away at the age of 46, his management confirmed on Thursday. The actor had been hospitalized in 2024 due to serious health issues linked to his vaping addiction.

In a heartfelt statement, Independent Creative Management, who represented Paul, shared their sadness over his passing. They described Paul as a talented and kind individual who brought light to many people's lives. His family, friends, and colleagues were asked to be given privacy during this difficult time, and no further comments were made regarding the cause of death.

Just a week before his death, Paul had shared his last Instagram video, which has now gone viral. In the video, Paul spoke about his excitement for a new acting role. He was auditioning for the role of Orsino in Twelfth Night, a play by William Shakespeare. Sitting on a sofa, Paul passionately recited lines from the play, showing his love for acting and the joy he felt in rediscovering Shakespeare's work. He wrote in the caption, "You forget his genius until you dive into his work, experiencing its beauty and exhilaration. I sometimes forget how much I need to be awakened."

Paul had also been open about his mental health struggles. In December, he hosted a TikTok LIVE session to raise awareness and funds for his charity, The Other Side of Morning CIC. The charity aimed to support people facing mental health challenges by creating community projects across the UK.

In addition to his charity work, Paul had openly discussed his battle with vaping addiction. He revealed that he had suffered from respiratory failure due to excessive vaping, nearly losing his life. Despite these struggles, Paul had continued to work and pursue his passion for acting. He was also known for his appearance on Celebrity Love Island and his role as Sol Patrick on Hollyoaks.
