The weekend’s here — and so are a bunch of new OTT titles worth binging. From high-octane thrillers to dark dramas and true-crime tales, this week’s lineup is a mixed bag. Let’s dive in.
War 2
Hrithik Roshan is back as Kabir Dhaliwal — only this time, the ex-RAW agent might be India’s biggest traitor. Or maybe not. “War 2” continues the YRF Spy Universe saga, throwing in NTR Jr as Vikram Chelapathi, the officer sent to hunt Kabir down. The cat-and-mouse chase moves across continents, loaded with explosions, betrayals, and — of course — swagger.
Cast: Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr, Kiara Advani
OTT release: October 9 | Platform: Netflix
The Resurrected
A Taiwanese thriller that’s as unsettling as it sounds. Two grieving mothers, denied justice and desperate for closure, turn to a shaman after losing their daughters to a kidnapping racket. The twist? Instead of resurrecting their children, they bring back the killer. Shu Qi and Sinje Lee are phenomenal — haunting, really. This one’s not for the faint-hearted.
Cast: Shu Qi, Sinje Lee, Fu Meng-po

Boots
Set in the ‘90s, “Boots” is part military comedy, part emotional rollercoaster. Adapted from Greg Cope White’s memoir The Pink Marine, it follows Cameron Cope, a closeted teen who enlists in the US Marines with his straight best friend. Expect humor, identity crises, and a few touching moments. Vera Farmiga, as always, adds quiet depth.
Cast: Miles Heizer, Max Parker, Vera Farmiga

The Last Frontier
If you love survival thrillers, this Apple TV+ release is right up your alley. Jason Clarke plays Frank Remnick, the only law officer in a snow-covered Alaskan wasteland. Things go south when a plane full of prisoners crashes — except it wasn’t an accident. There’s blood, ice, and betrayal everywhere.
Cast: Jason Clarke, Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett
OTT release: October 10 | Platform: Apple TV+
Search – The Naina Murder Case
Konkona Sen Sharma steps into the shoes of ACP Sanyukta Roy in this six-part crime thriller inspired by The Killing. When a teenage girl, Naina, is found dead in a car tied to a powerful family, Roy and her impulsive junior (played by Varun Thakur) dive into a web of lies, privilege, and online deceit. Gritty, grounded, and loaded with suspense.

My Father, the BTK Killer
It’s the kind of true-crime story that sticks with you. The documentary revisits the horrifying double life of Dennis Rader — the infamous BTK killer — through the eyes of his daughter, Kerri Rawson. Her voice drives the narrative, filled with disbelief, grief, and a haunting sense of betrayal. “You think you know your father,” she says at one point — chilling.
