Popular Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda passed away at the age of 35 after battling for his life for nearly two weeks. The singer was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali following a tragic road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, on September 27.
His BMW motorcycle reportedly collided with stray cattle that suddenly came onto the road, leaving him with severe head and spinal injuries.
Despite continuous medical efforts, Rajvir succumbed to his injuries on October 8, leaving the Punjabi music and film industry in deep shock. His death has sent a wave of sorrow across social media, with fans, colleagues, and politicians expressing grief and disbelief. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had earlier visited the hospital to check on his condition and later extended condolences to his family.
Not long after the news of his death broke, Rajvir’s last Instagram post began circulating widely. In the video, he was seen standing by a calm seaside landscape, looking peaceful and introspective. The caption featured emotional lyrics from his popular song Tu Dis Painda, which read:
“No one will understand what is the matter between you and me. If I don’t remember you, tell me which moment is that.”
Those lines now echo with painful irony, leaving fans emotional. Many called it a poetic farewell that reflected his depth and sensitivity as an artist. Comments flooded his post with messages of love, prayers, and disbelief.
Rajvir’s colleagues in the Punjabi entertainment industry described him as humble, passionate, and deeply committed to his craft. Singer friends and co-stars from Punjabi cinema shared stories about his warmth and work ethic, remembering him as someone who stayed grounded despite success.
