As one of Indian cinema’s most groundbreaking films, Tumbbad makes its return to theaters on September 13. In exciting news for both film enthusiasts and horror aficionados, Sohum Shah has taken to social media to announce that bookings for the eagerly awaited re-release will open this evening.

Released in 2018, Tumbbad redefined Indian folklore horror with its unique narrative, striking cinematography, and immersive soundtrack. Its re-release is set to be a major event in Indian cinema, celebrating a film that remains a celebrated masterpiece and continues to captivate audiences.

Tumbbad is a 2018 Hindi-language folk horror film helmed by Rahi Anil Barve, with Anand Gandhi serving as the creative director and Adesh Prasad as the co-director. The screenplay, crafted by Mitesh Shah, Adesh Prasad, Rahi Anil Barve, and Anand Gandhi, is brought to life through the production efforts of Sohum Shah, Aanand L. Rai, Mukesh Shah, and Amita Shah. The film features Sohum Shah in the lead role of Vinayak Rao. It is distributed by Eros International.

Tumbbad earned widespread acclaim and received eight nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards, securing victories in Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Sound Design.
