Sikandar OTT release: When and where to watch Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna's latest film

After receiving a lacklustre reception at the box office earlier this year, Salman Khan's intense action drama Sikandar is ready for its digital debut.

The film, which stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and was directed by the renowned AR Murugadoss, will be available for streaming on OTT now.

Despite its large-scale production, star-studded cast, and buzz from promotion, Sikandar did not perform well in theatres when it first came out on March 30, 2025.

In the hopes that it will reach a larger audience and receive a new wave of appreciation, the creators are now aiming for a powerful comeback via OTT.

The film will be available on Netflix from 25th May, 2025.

Netflix officially confirmed the digital release with a spirited announcement: “Suna hai bohot log Sikandar ka intezaar kar rahe the? Sikandar aa gaya hai Netflix par raj karne. (I heard many people were waiting for Sikandar? Sikandar has arrived to rule on Netflix.) Watch Sikandar, out 25 May on Netflix.” The platform has already updated its interface, labelling the film as “Coming on Sunday”, adding to the anticipation.

Curiously, the movie made headlines for its lucrative OTT deal even though it might not have brought in a lot of money at the box office.

According to reports, Sikandar was sold to Netflix for an astounding Rs 85 crore, which allowed the producers to recoup a sizable amount of their investment before the film's digital release.

Salman Khan plays Rajkot's honourable ruler Sanjay in Sikandar, who is at odds with the dishonest son of a local politician. Sanjay embarks on a sincere quest to protect the lives of those who received his wife's donated organs after her untimely death (played by Rashmika Mandanna); this plotline gives the action-packed story more emotional depth.

Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Sanjay Kapoor, and Nawab Shah are among the strong ensemble cast members of the Sajid Nadiadwala-produced movie. Sikandar now seeks to discover its actual Netflix audience by fusing compelling action scenes with themes of love, grief, and redemption. All eyes are on its second innings in the digital world as excitement grows.
