Namita said, "You know, at some point I stopped answering people. Magaz maari nahi karna."

Namita Thapar, from Shark Tank India, reflected on her transformative journey handling online critics, citing it as a catalyst for developing resilience and fortitude. Speaking with actress Karishma Tanna on her podcast, Thapar emphasised how navigating through adversity has toughened her resolve, shaping her into a more resilient individual.

When Karishma asked Namita about whether she gets trolled, Namita said, “I get trolled a lot. I get called a ‘nepo kid,’ ‘papa ki pari,’ ‘overacting ki dukkan.’”

Namita Thapar called every trolling a “learning experience,” "It's okay. After a while you just become so strong and it just makes you so thick skinned that it's a good thing. If you look at every setback, every trolling is a learning experience. It just makes you evolve as a person.”

Karishma and Namita, who are both Gujaratis, began to converse in their language. Karishma said, "Even if you are papa ki pari, at least you are working and not sitting idle.”

Namita replied, "You know, at some point I stopped answering people. Magaz maari nahi karna. I don't care what people think or what they are saying. I don't want to use my brain there. I would rather use my brain in earning money.”

Namita Thapar had discussed the issue of trolling previously too, "From day one, we get called nepo-kids and born with a silver spoon and papa ki pari. We are second generation. But what people don't understand is, when I joined Emcure, we were 500 crores, we are 8000 crores now. To take it to that level as a group, the second and third generation also needs to have an entrepreneurial mindset. In India, 87% of our GDP is from family owned businesses. We are the third largest country, when it comes to just family businesses. While founders are fabulous, family businesses also have a very important place. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation also have a very important role. Sometimes, people don't think through that. It's just their ignorance, you just can't help it.”
