In the latest episode of Shark Tank India, which aired on March 13, 2025, Tanvi and Harsh Somaiya, the co-founders of The Bear House, a contemporary men’s apparel and accessories brand, secured a ₹3 crore investment from Shark Namita Thapar.

This investment is structured as ₹1 crore for a 1% equity stake and ₹2 crore in debt. The couple impressed the judges with their brand’s profitability, scalability, and innovative product offerings. Shark Aman Gupta even referred to the brand as "too good to be true."

During the episode, Kunal Bahl, another Shark, also made an offer, proposing ₹3 crore for a 3% equity stake at a ₹100 crore valuation. However, after careful consideration, the Somaiyas chose Namita Thapar’s offer, which they felt aligned better with their long-term vision for The Bear House.

The Bear House specialises in smart casuals, inspired by European fashion and tailored for hybrid work cultures. The brand is known for its minimalist and high-quality clothing, which has already resonated with a broad audience.

Tanvi Somaiya, co-founder of The Bear House, expressed the significance of the investment, stating, "Being on Shark Tank and earning the trust and support of the judges is a pivotal moment for The Bear House team! This experience has solidified our reputation as a powerhouse in the menswear segment."

With a robust presence in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, the brand is rapidly expanding into other Tier I and Tier II cities, such as Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai.

The Bear House is expected to surpass ₹140 crore in net revenue this year, with a remarkable 40% year-on-year growth. The brand also holds the top position in Myntra’s casual shirt category and is available across other platforms like Flipkart, Ajio, Tata Cliq, and Amazon, alongside collaborations with hyperlocal quick-commerce platforms such as Zepto.

With the new investment, The Bear House aims to further fuel its growth, both online and offline, solidifying its position in the Indian fashion industry.
