Salman Khan wishes best wishes to Nishaanchi poster

Supporting his friends and fellow artists is nothing new to Salman Khan, and he has done it one more time, this time its for the upcoming movie Nishaanchi, directed by Anurag Kashyap.

The Dabangg star gave a heartfelt shoutout on Instagram, sharing a video of himself genuinely excitedly responding to the movie's poster.

In the clip, he’s seen looking at the poster on his phone, smiling and sharing the moment with Sonakshi Sinha and the film’s lead actress, Vedika Pinto.

Salman’s known for his big heart and generous spirit when it comes to lifting others up in the industry. Over the years, fans have come to love these moments where he uses his star power to celebrate new projects — and this was no different.

Alongside the video, he wrote, “Best wishes for the film ‘Nishaanchi” A simple message, but one that carried weight coming from someone of his stature.

Directed by the ever-bold and boundary-pushing Anurag Kashyap, Nishaanchi is slated for release on 19 September. The film marks the screen debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, grandson of the late political figure Balasaheb Thackeray.

It also features a strong ensemble cast including Monika Panwar, Vedika Pinto, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra.

Anurag Kashyap opened up about the film’s long journey to the big screen, saying, “We wrote ‘Nishaanchi’ in 2016. Since then, I have been looking to make this film the way it should be, and was looking for a studio that trusted me to do that, wholeheartedly.”

In a heartfelt revelation during an interview with Galatta Plus, the filmmaker shared that the movie was initially imagined with Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead. “The project was announced with Sushant in 2016, but after the actor signed two major films with Dharma Productions, he stopped responding to him,” he said.

Meanwhile, Salman himself is neck-deep in filming Battle of Galwan, a patriotic drama based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangda Singh. The film is expected to hit cinemas next year.
