In 2016, Preity Zinta married Gene Goodenough, a financial analyst based in the United States, and relocated to Los Angeles after their wedding. Although she lives in the U.S., she frequently visits India. In 2021, the couple welcomed twins, Gia and Jai, through surrogacy.

Meanwhile on the work front, Preity Zinta is gearing up for her highly anticipated return to the silver screen in Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. This project marks a significant milestone for Preity, who is making her comeback after a long hiatus. The film also stars Sunny Deol alongside his son, Karan Deol, with Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal playing key roles.
