Actress Anaya Bangar, who recently featured in the reality show Rise and Fall on Amazon MX Player, revealed her journey and the importance of mental health. The actress on the occasion of World Mental Health Day shared her personal experience while breaking silence around a topic that many people still.

The actress revealed how she went through a long and difficult phrase which deeply affected her mental health. She stated, “I have gone through a long phase where my mental health was deeply affected — especially during my transition and while trying to find my place in the world. Everything felt uncertain my identity, career, even my sense of safety. What really helped me was allowing myself to pause and feel instead of constantly fighting it. Therapy, journaling, spirituality, and simply talking to people I trusted became my anchors.”

Anaya reflected on a turning point in her career and admitted that fame and recognition made her realize the deeper meaning of mental health. She quoted, “There was a very specific moment. When I started getting recognized publicly, I realized that visibility and validation don’t always bring peace. That’s when it truly hit me that mental health isn’t about being happy all the time — it’s about having balance and self-awareness even when life gets loud.”

She further talked about her personal rituals that help her reset emotionally and said, “Whenever I don’t feel mentally strong, I allow myself to slow down and disconnect. I light a candle, stay quiet, sometimes cry it out — and then I move. A short workout, a drive, or just watching cricket grounds calms me. Movement reminds me that energy can shift. I also keep reminding myself that this feeling is temporary; I’ve survived worse.”

Highlighting a common myth about mental health, Anaya ends with a powerful message. She states, “One major misconception I wish people would stop believing is that mental health is only for those who are ‘struggling.’ Mental health is for everyone. It’s not a weakness it’s self-awareness. The more we normalize talking about it, the less we’ll have to hide our emotions behind fake smiles.”

The actress, through her words reminds us that vulnerability is strength and mental health is not a phase, but a lifelong practice of understanding, acceptance, and growth.
