Nani joins Dulquer Salmaan for grand launch of pan-India film DQ41 in Hyderabad

Telugu cinema is set for another exciting project as acclaimed actor Dulquer Salmaan announced his 41st film, tentatively titled DQ41. Known for his versatile performances in films like Sita Ramam and Lucky Bhaskar, Dulquer’s latest venture officially kicked off with a grand pooja ceremony in Hyderabad.

The launch witnessed the presence of prominent industry names, most notably actor Nani, who gave the first clap for the film, adding star power and goodwill to the auspicious beginning.

The film will be directed by Ravi Nelakuditi and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner. Notably, DQ41 also marks the 10th production for SLV Cinemas, making it a milestone project for the studio. Adding to the occasion’s prestige, director Buchi Babu Sana, known for Peddi, operated the camera during the pooja ceremony, while Srikanth Odela, director of the upcoming film The Paradise, also attended in support.

The script for the film was developed by Gunnam Sandeep, Ramya Gunnam, and Nani, showcasing a strong collaborative effort from industry talents. Slated to be a Pan India release, DQ41 will hit screens in five languages, emphasizing Dulquer’s cross-industry appeal.

Behind the scenes, the film features an impressive technical crew. Music will be composed by National Award-winner GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Anay Om Goswamy, and production design by Avinash Kolla. The rest of the cast and crew are expected to be announced soon.

During the event, Nani praised Dulquer Salmaan, calling him a “true Pan Indian Superstar.” He recalled giving voice to Dulquer’s character in OK Bangaram, a Mani Ratnam film, and expressed pride in Dulquer’s journey. “He reached the next stage with his hard work... Dulquer is the only Pan India star. Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil directors pen stories for him, and that’s the true definition of a Pan Indian star,” Nani said, also complimenting Dulquer's recent film King Of Kotha.

Most recently, Dulquer starred in Lucky Bhaskar, a black comedy crime film directed by Venky Atluri, which became a massive box office hit with earnings crossing Rs 100 crore.
