Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor has always been known as a fashionista in the industry. The actress began her career at the age of 22 in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saawariya'. Since then, she has not looked back and has been an inspiration to many of your actors and people who love fashion.
The actress is now happily married and is the mother of a son, Vayu. The actress, who looks amazing after shedding her postpartum weight, revealed in a conversation with her designer friend, Pernia Qureshi, that she had gained almost 32 kg after the birth of her son.
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja told Pernia, “I gained 32 kilos. Honestly, initially, I was traumatised. You are so obsessed with your baby that you are really not thinking about working out or eating right. It took me a year and a half. I took it really slow; you have to be slow because you have to adjust to the new you.”
Sonam also said how pregnancy changes everything in the life of a woman—her relationship with her husband and yourself too.
“Everything in your life changes. Your relationship with yourself changes; with your husband, it changes; everything changes. You are never going to feel the same about your body. I have always accepted myself for who I am, and I was like, I need to accept this version of myself," she explained.
A few months ago, Sonam shared a few pictures of when she had initially lost all the baby fat post-delivery. She had written a long note: "It’s taken me 16 months to feel like myself again. Slowly, steadily, without any crash diets or crazy workouts, just consistent self-care and baby care. I’m not there yet, but almost where I want to be. I'm still very grateful for my body and how incredible it has been."
Sonam Kapoor, who has given hits like 'Neerja' and 'Raanjhana', to name a few, was last seen as a blind ex-police officer in 'Blind', which was released in 2023.
