Recently, Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee sat down for an interview with Siddharth Kannan and recalled how blind articles and negative media content used to bother late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

‘The Family Man’ actor spoke about how difficult it was for Rajput to deal with those in power.

“Sushant was very vulnerable when it came to blind articles. He was a very good human being and it is only a good person who can get affected by these things. He would often come to me and ask how to deal with these things, I used to tell him not to take these things seriously because I have gone through such situations before, and I am still bearing the brunt of such articles against me,” Bajpayee revealed.

The ‘Killer Soup’ actor also added, “I told him to handle people whose films are working, who are in power. I would handle such people in a different way. I would tell my friends to convey to them that I would come and beat them up. What’s important is that the message is conveyed. Sushant used to laugh and would say, ‘Sir aap he kar sakte ho, mein nahi kar sakta ye (Sir only you can do it, I can’t). But he was troubled by blind articles. He was a very sensitive and intelligent person.”

Manoj Bajpayee has always been outspoken regarding the discrimination that he has faced in the Bollywood industry being an outsider.

Rajput and Bajpayee formed a bond on the set of their film ‘Sonchiriya’. Bajpayee reminisced about a mutton dish that he used to make that was loved by Rajput.

“He used to love the mutton dish I used to cook on set because he was basically from Bihar. So, the meat and the rice that we used to eat, I used to cook and many times he would eat and say ‘Manoj Bhai, I want to come to your house and eat.’ I said, ‘As soon as I make it, I’ll call you.’ That was our last conversation. And exactly 10 days later, he passed away. God bless his soul,” the actor concluded.
