Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, has made startling new claims surrounding the late actor’s death. She asserts that two psychics, one from the United States and another from Mumbai, told her that her brother was murdered by two individuals.
In an interview with journalist Shubhankar Mishra, Shweta dismissed the suicide theory, suggesting that the physical setup in the actor’s apartment made it impossible. “Aatmhathya kaise ho sakti hai? Jo fan tha aur jo bed tha usmein distance hi itna nahi tha ki koi insaan apna pair latka sake. Agar aapko aaj ko suicide karna hai, you will use a stool na? Stool jaisa kuch nahi tha wahan pe,” she said, questioning the plausibility of the official version.
Sushant’s death in June 2020 shocked the nation and prompted parallel investigations by multiple agencies, including the Mumbai Police, Enforcement Directorate (ED), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). All of them ruled out foul play, concluding there was no evidence of abetment or external involvement.
Yet, Shweta maintains that she received consistent information from two independent psychics. “Mujhe jin logon ne approach kiya, psychic, ne ek to pehle ek US ki psychic thi… She didn’t know who I am, who my bhai is, nothing she knew… Wo bolti hai, uska murder hua hai. Do log aaye the,” she claimed.
She added that a second psychic from Mumbai later contacted her, echoing the same account. “Phir ek aur psychic Bombay ki mujhe reach out ki... And she told exactly the same thing what godmother had told. Unhone bola ki do log aaye the jo uska murder karke gaye hain.”
The CBI’s closure report had firmly stated there was no evidence suggesting Sushant was “illegally confined, threatened, or abetted to commit suicide.” The agency also noted that his partner Rhea Chakraborty was treated by him as “family” and was not found to have misused his finances.
However, Sushant’s family continues to reject those conclusions. Their lawyer, Advocate Varun Singh, has called the report “an eyewash,” adding, “We will file a protest petition against this closure report, which is based on a shoddy investigation.”
