The makers of Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming film Ace, alongside Rukmini Vasanth have finally revealed the release date after much anticipation.

They revealed a poster featuring Vijay Sethupathi along with release date announcement on Instagram on Saturday, April 19.

Vijay Sethupathi is seen holding a gun, with cards flying at the backdrop. Ace will hit the theatres on May 23, 2025. The caption of the post read, "BrACE yourself The ultimate action spectacle is here #ACE hits theatres on May 23 - Prepare for the Ride of 2025!"

The commercial entertainer, is directed by Arumuga Kumar and being produced by his production firm 7CS Entertainment. The title teaser of the film, which has been largely shot in Malaysia, has received heightened response for the viewers.

Fans' excitement was immediately heightened when the makers released a special glimpse video in January 2025 to commemorate Vijay Sethupathi's birthday. According to the video, Vijay will play a character called "Bold Kannan" in the next movie.

In the teaser, the actor was seen wearing traditional Tamil clothing and strolling confidently through an airport, suggesting a distinctive fusion of fashion and culture. Additionally, it hinted at heart-pounding action scenes set in busy settings, which increased anticipation for the May 25 release of the movie.

Apart from Vijay and Rukmini, Ace also features other notable actors including Yogi Babu, PS Avinash, Divya Pillai, Bablu and Rajkumar.
