BLACKPINK's Jisoo and singer Zayn Malik took the fans by surprise with the announcement of their new duet single "Eyes Closed". Now, with the latest teaser video of the song, Jisoo and Zayn have taken the internet by storm.
Jisoo shared a 20-second video teaser of the upcoming track on Instagram on October 9, giving fans a first look at her collaboration with Zayn Malik.
The clip shows both artists looking stylish in all-black outfits while delivering smooth vocals and showcasing strong on-screen chemistry. The teaser suggests that the song is about loving someone despite their flaws and moving past old heartaches to embrace a new beginning.
The caption read, "JISOO X ZAYN - โ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐โ (OFFICIAL MV TEASER) +Official Music Video Premiere+ 2025.10.10 | 12am EST | 1pm KST."
Fans were particularly excited to learn that Jisoo had a hand in writing the track. Although the teaser is short, the close-up shots and interactions between the two stars left fans eager for the full release.
Social media quickly filled with reactions, including comments like, โOMGGGG teenager me is sooo happy,โ โJisoo x Zayn OMG look at their visual,โ and โAaaaaaa canโt wait.โ
The single Eyes Closed is set to release on October 10, with the music video directed by UnderWonder Content, the creative team behind BTSโs Jungkook music video Standing Next to You and Lady Gagaโs Disease.
This marks Jisooโs first release since her solo EP Amortage in February, which featured tracks like Earthquake, Your Love, and Hugs & Kisses. Currently on a short break from BLACKPINKโs Deadline World Tour, she will rejoin the group when the tour resumes in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on October 18.
For Zayn Malik, the collaboration is another highlight in his solo career. Since leaving One Direction in 2015, Zayn has established himself as a successful solo artist with hits like Pillowtalk and Let Me.
