BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Zayn Malik officially confirm collaboration on their duet single 'Eyes Closed', netizens call it a 'hit collab'

BLACKPINK's Jisoo has officially confirmed that she is set to collaborate with Zayn Malik in her upcoming digital single 'Eyes Closed' and fans can't stop swooning.

Jisoo had previously sparked curiosity among fans with a teaser image that showed the song’s title and the silhouette of a man standing behind her, which many suspected to be Zayn.

Now that the collaboration has been confirmed, it marks a major crossover between K-pop and Western pop music, uniting two of the world’s most dedicated fan bases.

Fans quickly flooded the comment section after the Flower singer confirmed their first ever collaboration. One fan wrote, "Omg the Duo I didn’t know I needed!!!!!!" Another comment read, "OHH IT’S REAL GUYS!!! IM SO BLESSED FOR THIS!!!" A fan wrote, "Woahhhh can’t believe it finally all members have a hit collab. (Ik its mother its gonne be hit)." Rumours of the collaboration first began in July when Zayn attended BLACKPINK’s concert in New York with his daughter, Khai. After the show, he posted a picture from the audience with the caption, “@BLACKPINKOFFICIAL THANK YOU ME & KHAI LOVED IT,” which immediately set fan speculation ablaze.

Jisoo is currently performing on BLACKPINK’s Deadline world tour, which kicked off in Seoul in July. After a short break following their London shows in August, the group will resume their tour in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on October 18.

Eyes Closed also marks Jisoo’s first new music release since her solo EP Amortage dropped in February, making this collaboration even more special for fans around the world.
